Not looking to make any changes myself. Simply a curiosity driven question Thank you for the heads up though.FNB because tech.
Their bank fees are crazy when you start going into their higher tier offerings though so be careful.
Their higher tiers carry very few benefits and are often more of a joke. Unless you make frequent use of services like the odd discounted air ticket, or a slow lounges, avoid it.FNB because tech.

Just because male service users generally have FNB and Geopay is a thing...?Im at FNB because I have to be....
The black cards hold no real value. The "private client" thing is a bit of a con. Despite what they're made out to be, they're certainly nowhere near the league of actual private/personal banking where a a banker is assigned for you to contact. The fees scale up as you go, but I noticed a significant jump when I moved to Private Clients. I'm paying about R600 between by cheque account and credit card account.
The black card is sexy and everything but the benefits over their Gold/Platinum levels aren't worthwhile.
Geopayment is still a big winner for me.
Getting the car license disc done through the app is handy, the ATM finder thing works well, I use eWallet to pay my domestic staff or draw cash when I forget my wallet, and integrated snapscan/zapper support just means two fewer apps on my phone.
Ha ha ha. I manage Home Owners associations and Sectional Titles...they all with FNB by chance so it just makes my job endlessly easier that I can link all of them to my companies account and work through one login.Just because male service users generally have FNB and Geopay is a thing...?

You aren't man enough to change?
In simple words. NEVER.#whenareyouchangingthatphoto!
FNB Provate clients do assign a specefic private banker and assistant to you. they are however given so many clients they never get to your accounts in timely manners. I went through 5 private bankers and then just said cheers. The black cards hold no real value. The "private client" thing is a bit of a con. tbh @HK-Kid , I am with ABSA and I've had really good service and nothing to complain about... They couldn't beat FNB when I applied for my car loan, so I went with FNB for the loan, but ABSA has the rest of me.Stay away from ABSA.... I'm with them but am locked in because of loans..............
If its any better than the team of specialists at your disposal on Premier, then it is a step in the right direction. My experience with them has been nothing but AWFULFNB Provate clients do assign a specefic private banker
I thought premier was a step up from Private? Dont get me wrong something like changing my address through private clients took months. If its any better than the team of specialists at your disposal on Premier, then it is a step in the right direction. Thanks that helps. Well im back on gold and if there was a copper I would of been on that.Confirmed
Gold > Premier > Private client > Private wealth; from small to bigger
Exactly, as good as just phoning their customer care line or walking into a branch. From my experience their 'bankers' are hopeless and likely spread incredibly thinly. It's a phony private banking scheme that is essentially just a marked up standard account for the illusory benefit of being a 'private client' and having a black card.FNB Provate clients do assign a specefic private banker and assistant to you. they are however given so many clients they never get to your accounts in timely manners. But um....which bank are you talking about?Because I like to have private banking that actually is private banking.
Oh yeah, and all my ATM withdrawals are free and I don't have to look for a specific ATM brand to get it to be free.
I never ever ever have to go into a branch and stand in a line to get anything done.
mmm.... interesting. RMs are typically fixed on one region as far as I know. This region, can be anything though depending on how the bank is set up, i.e. Central/Cape/KZN with the whole country being divided into those three. Would be curious to know how FNB deals with that specific aspect and allocation. So Im not sure exactly how correct this is but here is somthing interesting about FNB business banking. So because one of the HOA's and SS's I manage is on Platinum all the bank accounts I have linked to my account gets bundled together to 1 private wealth relations manager. So although my personal account is gold and I get no assistance there my business account (which is also gold) gets treated to a relations manager for free.
