Chernobyl - Mini-Series

One of the better series ive seen in a long long time. No mindless kak. No bad writing or ridiculous escape from reality regurgitation. And its heartbreaking to boot. Can definitely recommend this to anyone. Also, i dont know what some of you people watched but there are only 5 episodes and there is a "reenactment" of the explosion in the last episode (with some great explanation as to why). So for the boys who only want to see big boom, that's where it is. Everything that leads up to it though makes it so very worthwhile. By the end of it you are so invested in whats happened you'll be calling your friends/family comrade
 
I grew up in the USSR and this show bought back memories. 10/10 on authenticity.
Many guys I work with were in the aviation regiments and everyone had a relative, friend or neighbor sent there.
 
With all the good feedback on this series I'll have to add it to my to watch list

One of the highest rated shows ever to hit TV and you want to avoid it because your expectation is some pipe dream.

Very very weird way to go about life.

Avoid no, but not actively seek out yes. I'm not desperately seeking something to watch, it's more about finding the time to watch all the things I do already want to watch (or re-watch).

Skip the re-watch and get new things.

Much easier.

QFT - this is a better way to go about things - rewatching anything that you like is fine as long as there's nothing new to move on to - and IMHO these 5 episodes will be better than rewatching, for an example even the best season of game of thrones - I mean you have already seen it and it won't change, so rewatching won't create much tangible benefit in your life, but watching something new might

And for sure while Chernobyl as the TV series might not be to everyone's taste its still worth watching at least the first episode to decide that, but it does get better as it goes on, as in very thought provoking drama which makes for riveting television - this was finally a very moreish TV series ie you couldn't bear to wait for the next episode because you truly want to know what happens next, even though history already basically made you aware of what happened

Lol. Rewatch my favourite season of Game of Thrones, as if there was such a thing. I'd rather rewatch the Animaniacs or every Pokemon episode ever (which is basically the same thing 4000 times) than that crap.

Really good show. I found it difficult at times to relate to the thought processes the people were going through.
The Terror is another good show starring the same actor in a similar role.
Guy from The Terror also dies
 
English accents ruined it for me.
