Deal Thread URL:[Sale] - Entry level setup | Combo (multi-item) sales & full systems
Seller: @Jake92
Buyer: @waz
Description of Bad deal:
Hi guys, So this was one of my first few times buying on Carbonite and found a great deal mentioned above. The seller was great and nothing negative to say about him even now, packaged well and everything in order.
About 1 month in I noticed my PC stopped posting and after some debugging I was told by Matrix warehouse my CPU is dead (Absolute BS from Matrix BTW). Anyways so I sold the RAM mentioned in above thread on Carbonite to @Krummelz in this thread and after he tested it he said his PC isn't posting. I refunded him and did some thorough testing and found the RAM to not be posting on a few PC's, confirming a RAM issue.
The problem here is that I OC'd the RAM to 2666mhz as per specs on the deal when I bought it from the seller as he mentioned in his deal above it was 2666mhz RAM. After this RAM issue I checked the serial number and details and it turns out to be a 2400mhz RAM and this is likely what caused the RAM problem. I will take some responsibility here as I should have verified first the exact speed before using the RAM.
So I am looking for admins to intervene on suggestions of moving forward on this issue as I have purchased replacement RAM and sold this RAM for R600 to cover some of the costs of the new RAM. There's absolutely no ill feelings here, I know @Jake92 made a mistake however it has costed me a considerable amount of time debugging the issue as well as R600 that I would have sold for to cover some of the costs of my new RAM and it was all due to incorrect information on the deal. @Jake92 has confirmed that it can't be RMA with supplier as it's been OC'd above the RAM stated speed.
