While I don't agree with the delivery (Way too rushed), I think it's been a pretty decent season.
I get why people are mad/pissed about how things are going but this was always going to be the way it was going to end.
I'm not going into detail, but I'm 100% sure that GoT doesn't have a normal happy ending, instead it has multiple endings for different characters.
^^This.
People are mostly pissed because it's not going the way they wanted it to go, well well, it's GoT, it won't. I'm quite sure that they had more than enough footage for 10 x 1 hour episodes, so yes, it feels squashed/rushed, but however you look at it, this cookie was never going to crumble any other way. Plus, while I also feel D&D could have done better, I'm quite sure they also have red tape to deal with from HBO and GRRM that we don't see.
I see people flipping their lids for prophecies not playing out, well HELLO you dumbass, this ain't the books, the story deviated from Season 1. GRRM said a long time ago the books and the show will end up with the same ending but take different routes to get there.
As for Daenarys, I feel she's more Aegon the Conqueror than Mad King. I've said to someone today that I don't think she went all nuts on Kings Landing because she's now Mad Queen, but rather that she sat there on that wall, looked at the Red Keep and everything else around and realized she's not going to have it now that Jon/Aegon is Heir to it all and the secret is out, and decided to burn it all out of frustration.
