Time Spy Results Thread

At present I have a Corsair H110 CW fitted with a Nzxt Kraken G12 to my RTX 2080 ti. So I removed one fan from the H110 Rad, the furthest away from the inlet and outlet. That part of the rad not covered by a fan I'll drop into a pot filled with water and ice to cool the water pumped through the rad when passing through the bottom. This will drop idle temps to between 18 and 20C but it would mean that load temps will be around 33 to 36C which helps a lot with this GPU.
Very nice! Would you mind for some pics on your solution? I wouldn't mind adding some effort for a few tests for my score! :D

I couldn't find H110 available, but had to take the s24 for the case. I needed the longer tubes to try get the heat into a different chamber of the X71 case.

I have seen some threads where people extended the tubes of the s24/s36 range just for the ice bucket. Even Jayztwocents has a video trying this on an RTX2080ti, but that is with a complete custom solution.

Currently, my GPU hits about 39c in the day and about 31c this morning (nice and cool morning in Centurion) - but on the not-so-hot 1080ti. :)

Give me an hour or so. Im going to do another session a little later. Will take some pics.... but it will be funny.

@Roobir Not sure how to add a picture as it ask for a link so I'm using dropbox and hope it works.

So after actually taking my CPU up to 4.3ghz I was able to almost break the 15500 barrier in Time Spy and got a slight bump for Time Spy Extreme

Time Spy - 15498

Time Spy Extreme - 7029

That looks cold!

What kind of temperatures did you get with full load on the GPU?
It was about 31 to 32c which helped alot. Interesting clock speed stock with this bios is 2010mhz and I added 135mhz for 2145mhz effectively but because of the low temps it was doing 2160mhz for the first 10 to 15 seconds of the first test until it reached 31c core temp and then dropped to 2145mhz all the way through.

What thermal paste did you use for the GPU? Also, does the bucket have some water in it along with the ice?

Really impressive temperatures you have there!

Yup water with ice in bucket. Cannot recall the tp used right now but was nothing special.

I dropped a stupid amount of load temperature by changing from generic Corsair/Asetek paste to Cooler Master Maker Nano (11W/mK). Since then, I have always used it, on both GPU and CPU. If I remember, it was 12c lower on load for my CPU using the new paste. My GPU has always used the above paste, except when the stock cooler was on the card.

Thinking about it again, it might also have been that the generic pre-applied Corsair/Asetek paste was perhaps not enough to cover the whole CPU. Either way, if you ever do the installation again - perhaps give it a shot?

Shot Ill look into that thanks.

Updated my score slightly. I think there is some more juice in the tank for both CPU and GPU.

I scored 10 404 in Time Spy

The first run (without a GPU OC), I managed to score 8980 on the CPU score and my second run I only hit 8783 with a decent GPU OC. Anyone think it might be other application noise, or perhaps my AVX being auto? Not sure if MSI AVX auto = 0, or if I have to adjust it?

I'm aiming for @BosMossel86 and @melvill !

Time Spy - 15591

Still running the MSI auto overclocker Profile on the GPU. Sure I can get more if I play with the clocks

I scored 15 591 in Time Spy

Max Temp was 58c on the GPU after FS Ultra stress test

CPU get to 81c In Realbench (30 minutes)

Great result..... yeh with AMD Zen2 I'll probably get a little higher, well I should, but will need to see.

Morning VPII

Some great scores from you aswell, What BIOS you running on that 2080TI? I cant touch your clock speeds.

I am only catching you on the CPU

Morning....Im using the strix xoc bios with 1000watt power limit set to 50% for 500watt. But my clocks even worked with the stock bios but would drop due to hitting the power limit.

Isnt that BIOS for a Non reference board?

I am slamming into the same power limit, On the Galax 380watt bios

Do you know where I can get the XOC bios download?

Nope bios work with reference board as well. Google Rtx 2080 ti strix xoc bios. It is at Techpowerup.

Fount it . Thanks. I am using the same GPU as you just on a Alphacool AIO
Shot.... even with your 2115mhz clock and this bios you will score higher.

Damn this XOC is something else.

I limited myself to 42% (420watts)

+155 core
+1150 mem

I scored 16 010 in Time Spy

Not sure what the everyday limit is on the reference card but dont want to go over 420watt

Great run there..... nicely done... But your graphics score should be higher possibly higher than mine at 2145mhz core. Up you power limit to at least 480 watt as at 2145mhz mine draws 450 to 460 watt.

I am worried bud, The card is still cool to the touch but worried about the VRM

Going to check if the clocks are game stable
