Update time!

So I took the center tower, that usually holds 2 3.5" HDD's and a ODD Drive, and decided to texture it and add the material like I did with the motherboard tray.

Also some shots of the cage installed:

Another update for you all!

So the inside 'roof' of this monstrous Tower 900 chassis also got the texturing treatment.

I must say I'm stoked with the result thus far! :)

I made a little progression line to show the progress of the front chamber:

Man if an update starts like this...

So you guys remember that perspex plate 'Cut Once'? I wasn't quite happy with how it came out, I had to lengthen both sides for it to reach either
side of the chassis, though I achieved what I wanted, I just hated the way it looked.

Off to Maizey's Plastic and ordered a whole new 15mm thick piece of Perspex!

I present the new pass through plate:

Tisk Tisk SILTECH786 for the double post.

I will ask him nicely to send it down to me first ;)

Please tell me you're doing a video timelapse build of this...

Yes, Part 2 'vlog' will be up tomorrow if all goes well.

Going to update some more piping shots in a few minutes :D

Okay so I changed my mind again, this time with the in-line temp sensor placement.

These things have quite a weight to them, and the original pipe just didn't seem like a good idea for transport to places like Cape Town where it could come loose due to the weight.

I decided to put the temp sensors towards the bottom of the chassis, and I love how it turned out!

When we cross the bridge of cable management, they'll be dealt with accordingly

Profile shot of them lining up (symmetry is so beautiful)

Man this pipe leading to the Poseidon was really fun to bend haha!

any 15mm pieces left?

sorry, R1k for 4 pass-through fittings is just going to be a bit insane right now :(

I'm sorry bud I don't have any more left.

But they're like R57 for the length I got, you can get them from Maizey's Plastics: http://www.maizey.co.za/

Just find the closest branch to you.

To thread it for fittings, you'd need a G1/4" BSP Threading Bit, and an 11.8mm Drill bit to make the correct sized holes :)

Hey everyone, you asked for a timelapse?

Here's part II of this build, in a timelapse style!

Hope you enjoy it :D

Needs MOAR REE GEE BEE!

Also pro tip - if you haven't already , use royalty free music for your videos. When I was doing gaming videos, I had some issues with music. Click my sig for the last few videos I did :)

Haha

I'm not much of an RGB fanatic for this rig.
The other project I'm doing is riddled with RGB components :)

With regards to music on my videos, I use Epidemic Sound. Flat rate per month, and I have access to a lot of music that I can use for my videos on my channel [emoji41]

Sweeet :)

A lot of my music I used was from The Secession Studios and Immediate Music, it is free to use, but they will tag their music for ad revenue, which I think is a fair trade off.

Keen to see them REE GEE BEE builds. If only we had these available... http://www.thermaltake.com/Cooler/L...RGB_G1_4_PETG_Tube_16mm_OD_12mm_ID/design.htm

Awesome! [emoji16]

Yes those fittings are awesome, just a lot of wires but I guess not much in exchange for rgb fittings!

Hey Carbs!

It has been such a long time since an update, I have recently moved to my new apartment so have a dedicated studio/mod room for the projects.

Here's an update of the distribution plate that represents the Ice Wall from Game of Thrones.

Sunday evening update!

Time to update this log and get this machine under way to its first public appearance.

Pipe work has been completed in the front compartment of the Tower 900.

I hope you all enjoyed this quick little update.

I cannot wait until this machine is finished so that we can bench this beauty! :D

No information has been provided on the rear panel for this machine.

Until now...

Finally have both loops filled, and leak testing has been completed.

Awaiting premium MDPC-X Sleeving from @Beyond Customs!

After so much time, I can finally close this thread.

This has been an amazing build to do, and an honour to have worked with the super rare, ROG Poseidon GTX1080Ti!

These are the final images of the machine when it was at EGE 2018, it was also at the most recent, Comic Con Africa!

image.jpg

Full load on Doom 4K 144Hz on the ASUS PG27UQ, the GPU loop cooled down from 48 °C to 31 °C!!

image.jpg

I can't think of any better image to close this log on! :)
