DELID / RELID service for IVY/Haswell/Devil's Canyon/Skylake/Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake.

It has to be heat resistant silicone for obvious reasons. Using normal silicone would just be...silli

You should feel ashamed of yourself for that pun ;)

In other news, I'm getting myself a 3D printed tool to muck around with :D It'll arrive either tomorrow or Friday, thanks Shampoo1014

Just dropped off my "new" 6700K and stayed a few minutes to watch him pop the lid ... will add H115i for more cool bit later on:cool:

Will update when up n running.

Nice meeting you sir!

Mr. KakHard turned me into a believer!

Stock 6700K idles 26 degrees from 30 and the magic 20+ degrees lower under load! Came down from 80 to settle at 59 on Intel's stress test...this is with a CM Hyper212 Evo.

Once the new case and H115i arrives I'll play around with overclocking.

I thank you good Sir!

Guys, who in JHB can do a delid for me?

Why not get a 3D printer person to create one for you?

I know a guy who has a 3D printer and can help. YOu just need to get a digital print for him. Edit: there's it
Or you could use the better exchange rate and import a Delid Mate v2 but that'll take ages to arrive.

I'll just wait for RebelTech to open next year and get them to do my second chip.

Do they delid CPU's? :O

Wonder if I should delid my 8700k. Anyone know how good the gains are? (I'll google a bit later for some results)

It is exactly the same risk as all the other CPU's (Haven't lost one yet - 7700K's to 3770K's etc), I have not had the pleasure of doing a 8700K.

The delidding process is very safe it's more the relidding that might not always be successful if I don't have a testing machine to check temps afterwards.
And with that, I mean the application of the thermal paste, so still, it shouldn't just spontaneously combust luckily, because of Intel's thermal throttling.
But as mentioned, I haven't had any issues thus far, nor had to re-delid any CPU.

Of course, anything can happen, and there is no guarantee.

Enetjie geknak vir genetic .

Let me know what the temp difference is like tomorrow after you fetch. ;)

1) Price of a 4790K delib please?
2)Are there aftermarket copper IHS?
3)Do you do a full seal or semi?
3.1) If semi , what results do you get? I saw a vid from GamersNexus where they showed 10~20degree extra drop, when only doing a parcial seal (3 dots of silicon per side AFAIR).

My 4770k is sitting on 4.0ghz currently

Idle temps around 44
Load 60ish never goes over 65

Would this be a candidate for delid?

I'm tempted to get them to do my 3770 as it's running at some insane temperatures at stock voltages and speeds. At first I thought my AIO was bad but when I switched to Air I was getting no better temperatures

I'll speak to RebelTech on Monday

Got my i7 8700k back from KakHard earlier this afternoon, and am very happy with the results!

Was hitting 92-95C @ 4.8GHz (1.35v) before delidding.

After receiving the reliddid chip from KakHard, I hit 75-77c @ 4.8GHz (1.35v), and 85c @ 5.0GHz (1.35v) in prime95 (small FFT) with an Antec C40 air cooled cooler.

5GHz gave me blue screens after a while though, so settled at 4.9GHz @ 1.3v for now until I get water cooling.

Will post some screenshots of the results tomorrow evening.

Will definitely recommend KakHard's service!! ;)
