Was excited as its my 1st 144hz monitor. I got the monitor and hooked it up and few minutes later I was playing on 1440p and 144hz and so happy. 3 days later I start up PC. PC goes to password screen. I enter my password and press enter. Then the screen just stays black. The monitor's power button is on but displaying nothing. It can even display the OSD. So I tried all of the following but still the screen just stays black:
Restarted PC and pressed menu button on screen a lot to make OSD try and appear
Switched off PC
Tried different displayport
Tried different displayport cable
Tried HDMi cable and used different HDMi ports
Tested cables on my old monitor and all works perfectly
Tried connecting monitor to my laptop
Went to a friend to test monitor on his set up with his PC, cables and power supply
Tried multi monitor setup and it shows it picks up my monitor but screen stays black
Did a firmware update via USB on the monitor
I e-mailed Pixio as soon as I got the problem and they responded by saying I must restart PC and enter OSD and do factory reset. I tried that and all of the above and sent them an e-mail but 3 weeks later and I still have to hear from them.
Last night I decided to just test it again. Plug in the monitor and it displays logo and showed OSD and then hooked it up to my laptop. Laptop picks up the screen and it duplicated the image on my monitor but only for a minute and then image starts flickering a bit and then screen just goes black and I can't get it back no matter what I tried.
I just want to know if there is anybody that perhaps knows what is wrong and if they can help me as I am still waiting on reply from Pixio
Sounds like the OC on the monitor is bugging out...
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for answers, I can tell you I don't have them. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you stop asking stupid questions, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will ban you.
It definitely sounds like a refresh rate issue though, I wonder if you try hook it up to your laptop, and use nvidia CP or EVGA PrecisionX to tweak the refresh rate, maybe play around with different ranges and see what it does? Don't know what else it could be, sorry bud
