*** Faulty - the chip that controls the fans have burned out. It might be possible to replace it / have it repaired, but i don't have access to such services. The card runs perfectly fine but with heavy use and the fans not spinning up, overheats and then shuts down to prevent damage. I have connected the fans directly a power outlet and then it works but at full throttle all the time.

Possible solutions in order of what i think will be best:

1.) Get a GOOD passive cooler such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Coolin.../dp/B0014HSPEQ
2.) Connect it to a fan speed controller and control speeds manually
    3.) Get it repaired
    4.) Repair it yourself

If i don't sell this in a week or so i might just attack it with soldering iron myself for fun.

I have a spare waterblock and backplate for the 7970 that should fit this card if you want to fix it

I don't have water cooling, unfortunately. But that's a good option for someone willing to try.

EDIT: I have been asked to just give it another test tonight and post some pics, so i will be doing that.

Sorry guys. @ichigo "sharked" this one. @sal12345, not even your noble aims could sway his determination.

I want to help out and I do still have a few things lying around here. Please whatsapp me on 082 310 1677 and let me knoe what it is you're looking for.

Lastly, a quick note to fellow carbies selling something that is broken/not 100%/questionable - make it cheap. Don't just knock a R100 off of a 4 digit price tag. That way we also help those who can't always afford the regular prices. Not trying to upset anyone; I'm just saying.
