Can't watch the whole video right now but yeah, 105hp pushing 550kg is a better power to weight ratio than a Golf VII GTi, although 75nm is half the torque to weight.

I hate having to post this

Does anyone know TINUS JANSEN VAN RENSBURG from Nelspruit, he rides a BMW GS800, WHITE IN COLOUR.
Him & his wife have been in a serious motorbike accident outside of Ohrigstad. Please contact me on 0734628311, need to get hold of his family

As received from the local neighbourhood watch

Have to replace all the bearings in the gearbox as two of them died due to fuel leaking through a rekt crankcase seal. So decided while the motor is out and open, I might as well replace all the seals, new gaskets, rebuild the top end and redo the timing gears. Hopefully everything should be here in the next week or so. Will post some pics when I start reassembly. Then BRAAP time.
You got a motard? You should join the Cape Town Supermoto facebook group. There's about 100 of us and we try get rides going most weekends. Hope you get your bike going soon

I think wavy rotors are more about looks than anything else. On the Africa Twin they claim they're better at repelling dirt but even that's a bit iffy in my books.

My friends also asked if the braking performance was better due to a larger surface area. The thing is that even the old disk made use of the brake pads' full surface area so the nett braking surface area hasn't actually changed.

Better cooling? Possibly, but I don't think I use my rear brakes to the point where additional cooling is beneficial.

...and yeah they look epic. Thank you
The main reason I went for this disk is that it was R850 instead of the R2100 KTM wanted for the original...and because it looks epic

Ya, rear brakes are hardly used. I remember getting on the rear brakes in tight corners when I was a noob. Scary shit.

They do help to quickly straighten out a tank slapper

I'm on the SA group, just haven't joined the CPT group yet. Rebuilt the gearbox shafts today. Top end and gasket parts should be here this week. So hopefully up and running by next weekend

How much more incredible would that little Honda be if they threw the VFR1200 with the DCT gearbox in there

    Mercy, just mercy please

So stock on the new bikes still like hens teeth but I have morphed away from the 1090r to this, if I can find one. If I wanna be a total maniac my 250 is more ready than I am.
