    Thanks, you see to me link aggregation sounds like a type of flow control

    So if I plug in another network cable between switches will it create a network storm?

    I doubt the other NIC will be active on the NAS unless you configure it as such.

    Keep in mind that link aggregation (LACP) has to be enabled and configured on both the NAS and the switch, which is why you need an 802.3ad compliant switch. Basically you want to get a 2GB/s link to the central switch where the rest of your devices are connected so they can take advantage of the extended throughput.
