    4x4Gb vs 2x8Gb vs 1x16Gb RAM Test in 6 Games (Ryzen 1400)

I found this quite interesting, despite the vid stating "quad channel" Ryzen 1400 is a dual channel CPU. Still quite intesresting that 4x4GB dual channel, can give 10-20% more FPS in GTA V on a Ryzen setup. Anyone able to test this on a Intel setup?

I'd still take a single 16gig stick for the long term. When you need to upgrade from 4X4 sticks of RAM, it's a pain as you are essentially throwing away RAM (unless you can sell it or move it to a different machine for use). Also, if you split a kit of 4gig RAM modules, you lose your warranty as far as I recall/know but I could be wrong.

No you don't lose warranty You only take in the "flat tyre" not all 4 I'm running 2x 8GB but am now interested in trying 4x4GB and testing to see if there is any difference. 10-15% is quite decent.

Fair enough. How does 4X 8gig work performance wise?

IDK, last I had to RMA a RAM kit I had to send the pair and not just the faulty module. They where very specific with the request.

If you give me 2x 8gb DDR4 2800mhz modules then I will test it for science.

I have 2 times 8gig DDR4 3000 modules which we can downclock to 2800 for science.

Unfortunately someone beat us to it on Intel's side of things.
Also my cpu only has dual channel support so doubt we would see any difference anyway.
This compares Dual to Quad channel for real tasks.
