    If you want that particular SSD as a boot drive for your Z170 motherboard, I tried a Lite-on CX1 PCIE and it works without any hassles.

    Other drives may also therefore work.

    Im going to plug it into my laptop. MSI - Gp72vr 6rf leopard pro. Apparently stock will arrive late January/early February. Can't wait for this thing!

    I see evetech & titan-ice has the 1tb & 500GB evo's in stock, but I don't know how reputable these retailers are

    Very reputable, rather go for titan-ice though, evetech getting some bad press at the moment. They won't scam you but there's some bad customer service stories floating around.
