Hey guys.
I hope you are all well.
So I currently have an iPad Air 4 that I use mainly for studying, with some light media consumption and I do have games installed but I never play them.
I have been thinking of switching to an android tablet as it would mean all my android app purchases on my S22 would work on the android tab and I can also do some emulation as well as switch to google drive so that all my devices have the same cloud storage instead of it being splintered etc. I figure it would be possible to sell my Air 4, case and apple pencil and get something equivalent for the price it sells for(Maybe 10k-12k not sure how much these would sell for). Would this be a good idea and what android tablet would give me the same gaming performance as my Air 4. I don't really use the pencil, though it is sometimes useful, so pen support isn't necessary but would be good. I believe another option would be to sell my iPad and get a portable monitor that I can use samsung dex with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I think you are heading towards a disappointment there, Android tablets are not what they used to be. Many years of weak demand have forced the manufacturers to either stop making altogether, or making cheap models with inferior specs, barely good enough for casual browsing and watching movies.
Air 4 scores around a million on AnTuTu. The only Android tablet that packs that much oomph (afaik) is Samsung Tab S8 or S9 (NB. NOT the FE or FE+ variants), and they are from 18K onwards new.

Thanks man, I came to a similar conclusion with some research. The Tab S9 price is hectic but the snapdragon gen 2 is a solid processor. Safe to say though I am just sticking with my Air 4 for now.

I beg to differ, I have been using my Tab S7 for the third year now and its an absolute blast. I previously had an iPad Air and was locked into the whole apple ecosystem. You already have an S22, it will no doubt be useful to get a Samsung tablet. Just some of the perks to remember is that Samsung comes with a free pen , the aspect ratio is better for consumption and you'll be in the same ecosystem. I also found note-taking to be better on the Samsung, the pen is definitely quieter.

Your primary usage is for studying and media consumption which is more than enough for an S series tablet. I also recommend against getting an FE variant. If you're up to it, try selling it and purchasing a second hand tab S8 or S8+.
