Hey everyone!

I'm a newbie to the industry so I'm trying to learn a bit more about the experiences of other developers and how they approach their problems and goals.

I'm looking for books that are language/technology agnostic and focus more on the human aspects of development. Things like productivity, working with a team, handling conflict, strategy, etc.

Some of the books that I've started or are on the list already are:
- Soft Skills - John Sonmez
- The Phoenix Project - Kim, Behr and Spafford
- Peopleware - DeMarco and Lister
- The Pragmatic Programmer - Hunt and Thomas

Also, please feel free to chime in with your own experiences and lessons learned. I'd love to read them.

Simon Sinek is a moron

Robert Kiyosaki is not the finance guru you think he is

EDIT:

If you genuinely enjoy some lifestyle advice (that isn't complete fucking gimmicky bs) I can recommend David Goggin's books. He really is one of the only non-bs coaches i'd listen to

Atomic habits was pretty helpful to me. Gave it a try during my last year at uni and formed better study, diet and exercise habits 😎. A year later and I'm really grateful for having read it.

Will give the rest a look, thanks man

He's a HARD MF 😂 going to use my next audible credit on one of his books, I've read reviews that say the audiobooks are awesome and I've enjoyed some of his podcast appearances

My man! I will check these out. After a brief visit to his www, the David Farley one seems exactly like the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks, man
