Good Day all

Need a bit of advice and guidance.

I am looking for a way to setup a paid for public WiFi hotspot in my little café for users to connect to.
very similar like some hotels/resorts/cruises supply, but obviously in a much smaller capacity.

Basic setup:
User connects to the open WiFi
User is directed to a splash screen to explain how it works
User is directed to a page with options to choose
User is directed to a pay gateway (one that integrates with a payment platform in SA)
after payment is successful, internet is accessible with bandwidth/time/MB limitations

Preferably an on site server type where the software system does not require monthly contribution, but understanding that there will be costs on the pay gateway side.

I am open to any suggestions and/or pointing in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Personally I would just setup an isolated guest wifi point, limit bandiwdth to 5-10Mbps per user, leaving enough bandwidth for the rest of your network. Having a paid for system = another system layer to manage etc. Your clients are spending money at your coffee shop, and "expect" the wifi to be free. :)

You will want atleast 3x networks . 1- business infrastructure. 2- staff wifi. 3- guest wifi. 4-CCTV / alarm if applicable. 5-IoT if applicable.

When they connect to your wifi, make it redirect them to your website for advertising and web-hit purposes.

This is the correct way. You can achieve this easily with Unifi. Even signing in to "Free 500mb" wifi is a hell no now days.

May I ask what you want to achieve? More revenue? Less abuse of connectivity?
