Hi Guys
I have a PS5 and started playing GT, I have tried with the normal controller but its not enjoyable and wanted some advice on what steering wheel should I get,
Logitech G29, G923? Any other brand?

I have no experience with any of these, but this is my 2 cents, as I was also on the fence about which one to get, if I were to choose between the 2 Logitech wheels.

Both the G29 and G923 are good options to start out your racing with. From doing some online research, apparently, the G923's pedals are better compared to those of the G29 but other than that, they should be very similar. The Force Feedback on the G923 is also improved over its predecessor.
You can also look at the Thrustmaster T300 RS GT as an alternative option, but it's generally around the R9k mark.

As an opinion and just my two cents, if I was looking for a wheel set at the moment, I'd start with a fairly inexpensive set. Maybe a good condition, used G29 (I've seen some going for R2500 - R4000) and then if you eventually get the hang of it and maybe feel like you'd like even more realism and immersion, then only start looking at direct-drive systems, something like the Gran Turismo DD Pro.

I would personally LOVE to get a full MOZA Racing set but believe they are PC only.

Solid advice. I'm at the Thrustmaster T300 RS GT stage. Start with the Logitech options before dumping cash.

Thank you.

From my understanding, it also takes some getting used to when transitioning from racing on a controller to racing on a wheel. My personal opinion is that ideally I wouldn't want to spend upwards of R35K+ on something I would potentially be bad at. Whereas if you start with something inexpensive, but also of good quality like the Logitech's are, if you happen to be bad in the beginning, it would not feel like a grudge purchase, due to the fact that you only spent ~R3k on it and not ~R35K on it.

How’s the Thrustmaster T80 Steering Wheel on ps5? I don’t wanna drop too much in the beginning.
I don't think you will get a good experience from the T80, as it has the bungee cord resistance system instead of force feedback. Although the Logitech G923 and T300 are pretty similar, i went with the Thrustmaster T300 with standard pedals, as it has force feedback, and gives a pretty good experience for starting out. If you enjoy it, then you could go Direct Drive like Moza or Fanatec and get LCM pedals, but they are costly.
If you can, get a used T300, and standard pedals, even if it means you don't get a chair yet.
I've just got some LCM pedals, which will be nice when they arrive.
I've got all our kit off Carb, all used, and all in awsum condition. Not worth buying new for the price and quality of second hand stuff here.

I remember struggling to get gold on GT5s silver arrow nurburgring licence or something event.
Got myself a wheel i got gold on my first attempt without even trying.

Can't use a controller to play racing games anymore.

So I should create a
(Wanted) T300 or G923 Steering and Pedals post…

You can, but sometimes people don’t check those when they selling.

You can, although some don't check wanted when they selling. Case in point [Wanted] - Steering wheel (sim) | Peripherals & [Wanted] - Thrustmaster or Logitech wheel and pedal set | Peripherals missed this [For Sale] - Thrustmaster T300RS combo for sale | Peripherals
6k was a good deal last week as it included the a shifter and pedals

Best to go to Peripherals and click watch, then you will get an alert for new postings. There have been 2 this month and 3 last month, so just be patient, one will come up soon. Same happened to me, where i just missed one when i wanted, and after i got one, they kept coming up. Just make sure that the model is compatible with PS5 if it a different model number.
