    Its a permanent install. You will need to solder it. Cleaning will help but it will come back as the potentiometers will eventually wear and break. But those are easy to replace if they don't fix it then the stick itself needs to be replaced

    These are only temporary fixes. You always start with replacing the potentiometers depending on the drift if that fails then just replace the stick
