Some advice

1. People like stating the skills they have on their CV. Rather, state what you have achieved and how you have used those skills . “I designed a R1bn housing complex for a large property developer” … as opposed to saying I can use 3d modelling tools or PowerPoint
2. Not a good thing stating what you want in terms of pay (comes across as arrogant that you just interested in money) … if anyone looking for a job starts off by telling me what they want to get paid before even exploring what they can do it’s a big no no from me

Simply put I would never hire you based on what you put down.

Fair enough & thank you for the perspective.

In terms of your first point, the (vast) majority of job advertisements state skills they require and I am more than happy to elaborate on the application of each (and every one).

As for point 2, I think this is a possible generational difference - I will always state the salary I am looking for as almost all job posts have a budget & I do not want to undersell my skills or experience ("market related" is bullshit). Put simply, everyone works to make a living (you are quite well off & can obviously understand this) - times are tough and working you way up + loyalty rarely amounts to anything (from my personal experience at least).

As for your last point - I respect that, hiring is not a simple process (by any means) but I will not sugarcoat with hot words just so I tickle someone's pickle.
It’s not perspective it’s fact (why ? because I just know) … ask yourself why are you not getting anything. You need to do something differently. Everything has a budget … goes without saying. But you should be coming across like you want to add value, and then when they see your value you can talk about money.

You have just stated you have skills … so what? Plenty other people applying for that same role have the exact same skills like you. how are you different ?

Use it dont use it …
